Evidence given by Md. Kamrul Hussain

My name is Md. Kamrul Hossain, age- 51, address [redacted] I am a Sub-Inspector of Police. Currently, I am working as the Record and Library In-charge at the Investigation Agency in ICT. I joined this post on 14/07/2025.

On 04/08/2025 at 10:05 AM, the Investigating Officer of this case seized a video news report from a YouTube channel titled BBC Bangla, related to this case, from my record room under a seizure list. I provided my signature on the said seizure list. This is that seizure list (Exhibit- 24). This is my signature on the seizure list (Exhibit- 24/1). The signature of Constable Abu Bakkar Siddique, who was working in my office at the time of preparing the seizure list (Exhibit- 24/2).

On the same date, the Investigating Officer returned the seized evidence to me again under a bond of custody. This is that bond of custody (Exhibit- 25). This is my signature on the bond of custody (Exhibit- 25/1).

On the same date at 5:00 PM, the Investigating Officer of this case seized printed news from an online newspaper published under the title BBC on July 9, 2025, and printed news from an online news report published by the Dainik Kaler Kantho newspaper on July 9, 2025, in front of me under a seizure list. This is that seizure list (Exhibit- 26). My signature is on the seizure list (Exhibit- 26/1).

On this date, the Investigating Officer returned the seized evidence to me again under a bond of custody. This is that bond of custody (Exhibit- 27). This is my signature on the bond of custody (Exhibit- 27/1).

On 09/08/2025 at 10:15 AM, the Investigating Officer of this case [seized] …… This is that seizure list (Exhibit- 28). This is my testimony on the seizure list (Exhibit- 28/1). Copy- (Exhibit- 28/2).

On the same date, the Investigating Officer returned the seized evidence to me again under a bond of custody.

Exhibit- 32: A DVD containing 3 audio clips identified by Deputy Jailer Md. Sakhawat Hossain, containing 3 audio clips of the same Dhaka University VC, Hasanul Haq Inu; a video containing the brief statement of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina broadcast on BTV on the occasion of the inauguration of train movement on the Akhaura-Lakshampurbani Double Line Rail Track; and a copy of the Forensic Report from the Forensic Branch CID Dhaka, by Sub-Inspector Md. Shahed Zobayer Lawrence.

Cross-examination

The mentioned evidence was seized from the office of the ICT Investigation Agency located in the Dhanmondi residential area.

It is not true that the statement that there is a witness signature under Abu Bakkar Siddique’s signature in one [document] and not in the other is true.

Yes, there is no seal of a stamp pad under my signature.
