Witness 33: Tarek Nasrullah

Evidence given by Tarek Nasrullah
(Age: 42; Profession/Position: Warrant Officer, Trauma Management Centre, Dhaka CMH)

During the July–August 2024 Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, several individuals with gunshot injuries were admitted to CMH. Doctors performed surgeries and removed bullets from their bodies.

On 13th February 2025, the Investigating Officer seized 13 of those bullets under a formal seizure list.

This is the seizure list (Exhibit-12).

My signature is marked as Exhibit-12/1.

At that time, Sergeant Abul Kasem Sad (Army No. 2008006) was present with me.

I can identify his signature. His signature is also on the seizure list, marked as Exhibit-12/2.

These are the seized bullets (Material Exhibit XX series).

This is my statement.

Cross-Examination

I do not know which doctor removed which bullet from which patient; however, these details are written in the seizure list.

It is not true that the signature of Abul Kasem Sad on the seizure list is not his.

It is not true that 13 bullets were not seized in my presence.

During the cross examination, Amir Hossain, the state appointed defence lawyer, pointed out that the seizure list mentions pictures of 10 bullets, but in today’s testimony the witness referred to 13 bullets being seized.

In response, Prosecutor Mizanul Islam clarified that since the pictures of the bullets were not exhibited in court today, the defense cannot cross-examine the witness on that point.
