Testimony of Nasir Uddin

My name is Nasir Uddin. I am a businessman by profession. On August 5th, at 12 PM, I left my home and walked to Trunk Road to participate in the movement. There, I saw three to four thousand students and the general public. A little further, I saw Awami League, Jubo League, and Chhatra League members advancing towards us, firing bullets from the direction of the municipality. When the Awami League members reached the PTI gate, I was standing at Doel Chattar. At that time, a bullet fired by Awami terrorists struck below my left knee and lodged in the bone. After I collapsed, Mosharef Hossain, Ershad Hossain, and Ismail Hossain, who were with me among the protestors, took me by rickshaw to the end of Islampur Road. From there, an ambulance took me to Mohipal Upashahar Hospital. I received treatment there and had an X-ray. When the higher authorities at the hospital advised me to seek treatment in Dhaka, I returned home. On 09/08/2024, I was admitted to Shyamoli General Hospital in Dhaka. There, the bullet was extracted from my left leg through an operation. After recovering, I returned home.

Subsequently, I learned that on August 4th, 7-8 people were martyred in Mohipal due to gunfire from Awami League, Jubo League, and Chhatra League. On August 5th, Nasirul Islam Dulal and many others, including myself, were injured by bullets.

All these incidents occurred under the direction of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and former Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader. I learned about this from the BBC, Pinaki, and other social media outlets. I demand punishment of Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Obaidul Quader, and all those who gave the orders, as well as those who committed the murders and rampant torture. Among those who fired bullets were Nizamuddin Hazari, MP of Feni Sadar, Ziauddin Babul, Feni Sadar Upazila Chairman Sushen, Gulla Mamun, Haji Alauddin, and many others.

The investigating officer questioned me. This is my statement.

Cross-examination

It is not true that Awami League, Jubo League, and Chhatra League workers did not fire bullets.

It is not true that I did not sustain two bullet wounds in both my legs.

No, I have not bought the bullets that were extracted from my leg, because it is at the hospital.

Q: Will you submit the release document you brought today?

A: I have not submitted the hard copy of the release today, but I have it with me.

It is not true that 7-8 people were not martyred in Mohipal, Feni, on August 4th.

It is not true that I falsely stated that all these incidents occurred under the direction of Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

It is not true that I did not learn the names of the said individuals through the BBC and Pinaki.

It is not true that Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal did not issue any instructions.

It is not true that Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal did not order them to commit assault.

It is not true that I, being a believer in a different ideology, gave false testimony against Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal out of envy.^[10]
