Testimony of Dr. Khair Ahmed Chowdhury

My name is Dr. Khair Ahmed Chowdhury. I am 58 years old. I am a medical doctor by profession and currently serving at the Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital.

On 15.02.2025, the Investigating Officer seized six pellets from me, which had been extracted from the bodies of six injured persons admitted to my hospital. This seizure was documented in a seizure list (Exhibit-8).

I have placed my signature on the seizure list (Exhibit-8/1). Another person also signed this list – his name is Dr. H. M. Rezwanur Rahman, who is the Assistant Director and Programmer at the hospital. I recognize his signature on the seizure list (Exhibit-8/2).

These are the same seized pellets which are being produced before the Tribunal today (Material Exhibit-XIII series).”

The date on which the pellets were actually removed from the injured persons’ bodies is not mentioned in the seizure list, but it is recorded in the hospital records. However, the hospital record has not yet been submitted before this Tribunal.

It is not true that the signature I identified as belonging to Dr. H. M. Rezwanur Rahman is actually not his.
