Persecution – Other Inhumane Acts 

That, on 16th July 2024 , being inspired by the ideology of Awami League, acting under direction of the regime and in active cooperation with law enforcement officers, you knowingly used your position and professional status to persecute and assist in the commission of inhumane acts by manipulating medical evidence in furtherance of the State’s repressive agenda. By compelling the coroner to fabricate medical documentation, you obstructed justice and facilitated impunity for extrajudicial killing.

Thus you are charged with committing the offence of persecution’ as a crime against humanity, as enumerated in sections 3(2)(a), punishable under Sections 20(2) and 20A of the International Crimes (Tribunals) Act, 1973.

Complicity in Crimes Against Humanity

That you, Dr. Md. Sarwat Hossain alias Chandan, with knowledge of the ongoing crimes committed during the July 2024 uprising, and with deliberate intent, became complicit in the suppression of lawful democratic dissent by collaborating with the law enforcement forces in concealing their criminal conduct.

Your acts constituted complicity, aiding and abetting the commission of the above crimes, by virtue of your misuse of professional responsibilities.

Accordingly, you are charged under Section 3(2)(h) for being complicit in the commission of crimes against humanity, punishable under Sections 20(2) and 20A of the Act and thereupon we hereby direct that you be tried on the said charges.
